Four roads once led from Cuzco's main square to the four corners of the Inca empire that extended from what is today Ecuador and part of Colombia to northern Chile and Argentina, including all of Peru and Bolivia. An empire almost as vast as the Roman empire, the Inca nation was connected by a road network stretching over 23,000 km. (14,300 miles). Due to its position as the capital of the Inca dynasty, contemporary Cusco, a city 3,300 meters above sea level (10,500 ft.) is a showcase of several different cultures.

Upon arrival to Cusco, transfer to your hotel, balance of the morning for resting and acclimatizing to the 3,400 meters altitude. In the afternoon you will do a city tour including the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha , the Cathedral and a visit to the near by ruins such as the Inca baths of Tambomachay, the shirine of kenko, and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Entrance ticket , English speaking guide and transportation is included. Overnight at a local Hotel. Such as the Los Andenes de Saphy or the Picoaga Hotel. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Overnight at the Sacred Valley of the Incas at the town of Ollantaytambo.at the 3 star Hostal "Albergue de Wendy" or at the "Valle Sagrado Lodge" a 4 star Hotel.

Early morning transfer to the train station of Ollantaytambo for a train ride to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will take the bus up to the ruins, escorted by your English speaking guide , entrance ticket is included and also lunch on the fancy Sanctuary Restaurant .
You will take a late afternoon train back to Cusco, get a transfer from the train station to the Hotel in Cusco. Dinner on your own. |

Transfer to the airport in Cusco for a flight to Lima. End of our services.
